Eal / Fish Glaze Recipe

We bought Smoked Eel, so we made Eel sauce for it...

Then we learned great things!
1. This a great glaze for most fish and seafood.

2. Give the rice a ridiculously rich and umami flavour.

3. When buying smoked real, but 1 real per person!

All You Need to make this:

  1. Sauce pan: a small saucepan and a stove.

  2. Whisk and spoons: to taste, mix and add ingredients.

  3. Soy Sauce: Generally when you are buying Soy Sauce try to get the ones with less salt content. Expensive ones are worth it.

  4. Sweetness: Mirin, Sugar (White/brown), and any of (corn syrup, rice syrup, honey...)

  5. Cooking Alcohol: Any of (Shaoxing wine, or sake, or dry cherry). Or the Non-alcoholic alternative would be grape/apple juice and rice vinegar.
